Chiropractic Techniques

 Our Techniques

We use a number of highly-effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce pinched nerves that cause nervous system interference. The approach we use is based on our judgment and years of experience. If you are the type of person that likes a hands-on chiropractor we are awesome. If not, we have the ability to provide care using a variety of gentle techniques and instrumentation, allowing the adjustment to be elegant and the body to accept and make the necessary corrections.

The primary adjusting techniques we use include:

Activator:

The Activator Method® is one of the most widely researched chiropractic techniques with clinical trials to support its efficacy. The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation.

Diversified (Full Spine Adjusting):
Diversified Technique is the most widely used and accepted chiropractic manipulative technique. It is the primary technique taught at Chiropractic schools across the country. Diversified technique is characterized by a very precise high velocity, low amplitude manual thrust. Its objective is to restore proper movement and alignment to the spine. It is a highly useful technique to restore joint function. Dr. Davis has become a highly skilled doctor in this technique and is a master technician of manual adjusting. This efficient and effective technique is used to move a joint into it’s proper alignment.

MC2 Technique:

Tonal or nervous system centered chiropractic techniques are not muscle or bone based but rather focus on the nervous system and the related changes in a person’s physiology. As such, tonal chiropractic techniques look at the nervous system first and the doctor’s input into the nervous system then affects the muscle system which, in turn, affects the skeletal system. read more»
